blogger's been hating me

as soon as I wrote a sufficiently lame response in previous posts' comments, blogger let me in. Before that I'd write long, witty notes and they'd vanish *POOF*

Consider yourselves all answered with thoughtful responses that show how much I deeeeply value the people who comment on my blog. I can't be arsed to keep battling blogger, eh?

Two things:

ONE. If you're in CT, come see the fabulous Nephew and Niece put on a show at the Glastonbury library. They're here from the big city (NY, NY) to talk about life as professional reader types for agents and publishers. The niece is excited because at long last she gets to be something more like an editor at work.

TWO. If you're a woman and you like erotica, tell me your favorite titles. I'm not talking about the ones you read for literary quality. . . I only buy Playboy for the articles. This is a favor for a friend who wrote:

Do you think you could ask your readers their opinions on the absolute hottest erotica they have ever read? Not simply "wow, that was fun" erotica, but "I'm going to chain my husband to the bed and make him fuck me unconscious" erotica?

It's all part of his ongoing campaign to seduce his own wife.

I'm going to go look for coffee now.

I'm a fan of Menage by Emma Holly. But only for someone who likes m/m.

I second Emma Holly -- my guy takes his vitamins whenever he sees me reading her historicals -- but a good authentic Japanese meal while listening to Mozart or Debussy has the same after-effect. :)

  3. I am such a fan of historical fiction (really, I do read it for the articles) that I have nothing to contribute. I mean, I read Shakespeare for fun! But I do have a pencil and I'm ready for suggestions... :>

  4. Hot m/m? Ohh I have to take a look at these.

  5. It's so nice to be an erotic romance writer. Whatever book I'm working on at the time has my husband looking a bit pale and tired.

  6. Not erotica, but I thought Lisa Valdez's Passion was super-hot, even if the scenes were sometimes eye-rolling.

  7. Going to ditto the Emma Holly as well! She is the master of sexual tension!

  8. I'm a sucker for shorts and the Kristin Archives and Literotica let you search for specific themes or authors... their rating system is flawed but with a bit of poking around you can find really high-quality stuff.
