Yum.

first: Portia De Costa's new cover. Wow, eh?

and then, some chocolate -- a review site.

oh what the heck, in honor of Wendy, a chocolate recipe.

I just made fudge sauce (I didn't want to, but boy 3 and mike insisted)

Easy:
1 can condensed milk
2 oz unsweetened chocolate
a few teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa
some tablespoons of butter
a couple of teaspoons of corn syrup.
a few tablespoons of water.
heat it (stirring constantly), eat it.

Not sophisticated like pad thai but it works better on ice cream. I've eaten a teaspoon and will now pretend there is no chocolate in the house. Maybe I'll go for a run.

Mmmm fudge. Only thing I like better is praline.

I gotta say, I had a Beavis & Butthead chuckle over Mr. Stone. Heh heh.

I am proud of my lovely cover... I'm thrilled to bits with it!

I only hope that what's inside lives up to the expectations raised by the gorgeous exterior. It was certainly a lot of fun to write. :)

    Thanks for featuring it, Kate!

  6. Isn't it weird - we can't buy corn syrup here in France!
    I looked and looked.
Too strange. What can I use instead of it??

  8. sam--I think dead lion syrup is the same thing (the british stuff) and I also think this will work without it.

It was an improvised recipe. The corn syrup was added because the boys wanted it to harden on ice cream and because they said it wasn't sweet enough. I think it would work fine without it.
